CDS Consulting Co-op
Provides consulting assistance to food co-ops and food co-op start-ups, primarily on a fee-for-service basis. Their specialties include store operations, planning for expansion and growth, and board governance.
Food Co-op Initiative
Provides online resources, webinars, and information about best practices in the start-up of food co-ops and food buying clubs; as funding is available, FCI sometimes is able to provide matching grants for technical assistance on a competitive basis.
The national network of cooperative development centers. The organization supports its member centers and co-op developers with professional education. Especially if you are outside Minnesota, Wisconsin or Iowa, check out CW to find a co-op development center in your region.
Promotes the development of sustainable forestry cooperative. Its members are co-op development centers (like CDS) that promote sustainable forestry practices through landowner cooperation.
A nonprofit that provides third-party certification to producers, processors and distributors related to sustainable practices. CDS represents the Food Alliance program in the Midwest through our Food Alliance Midwest program.

A nonprofit, member-based organization that promotes sustainable agricultural practices, and advocates for public policy that supports sustainable development.
Minnesota Farmers Union
CDS' partner in the delivery of the Minnesota Cooks! program at the Minnesota State Fair. MFU is a long-established member-based general farm organization with deep roots in the Midwest and beyond.
Senior Cooperative Foundation
The Senior Cooperative Foundation has extensive experience in delivering education and cooperative solutions for issues facing senior housing co-ops and their owner-members.
